Having computer warranty is very important, especially when spending a lot of money on a high level computer. However, most retailers will not cover you if you have brought a virus into your computer, even if you was unaware that it was a virus.
When purchasing a computer, they will advise on purchasing 3rd party software to protect you against any computer threats.
Computer warranty from most retailers will only cover hardware damage or some software that has become corrupt, but only software they installed before shipping out to the customer.
This will mainly include the Operating System, may it be Windows XP or Windows Vista.
